How to post photos

Post by fastback » Mon Oct 12, 2009 3:29 pm

I love photos - the more the better, show me your rust, your triumph, your bloody knuckles and empty bank accounts!!!

In order for photos to appear in the forum you to link to photos that are already on the web. Sites like http://www.flickr.com, http://photobucket.com, http://imageshack.us offer free photo hosting. Once the photo is on the web, you just need to paste the url to the image in here.

The easy way to do that is to highlight the url, and then click the Img button at the top of the composition window (example below).

If all goes well you will get your photo in the page!

FLICKER
*flicker supports BBcode (that's what this is...) please turn "sharing" on in your flicker account! There is a FAQ Lin in flicker under the photos for sharing your pics- please read it !

Post a smaller photo as a link to a larger version:

Code: Select all

[url=http://www.example.com][img]http://www.example.com/image.jpg[/img][/url]
Here is a quick way...
  1. in Flicker I clicked on download arrow
  2. right click, Copy image address (or Copy Link Location... depending on your browser vernacular)
  3. paste the URL in image tags

An update on image posting: I've enabled a facebook plugin to allow posting of images and video into the forum.

Just right-click on an image in FB, Copy link address , and paste here, it will look like this!
