Hi first post, I have a 1968 sgs 250 that sat in a garage for 40 years with a broken clutch cable. We repaired the cable and got it running and it runs very well except the clutch is very hard to pull.I broke the end off the cable today .Why is it so stiff? I've lubed the cable and everything by the adjuster
any help would be great Thanks Bill
very stiff clutch

Re: very stiff clutch
Do you have a manual? Did you get the right cable? The cable adjuster is located underneath the right side engine cover, and at the clutch itself. Just wondering.
I have the same bike. The clutch cable comes out of a little hole and goes into a long piece of steel/adjusting bar that you can turn with a screwdriver. Better information on how to adjust it is in the manual. That takes some Oomph to break it.
Afterthought: "Repaired"?? the cable? Or replaced?
