Hello all,
Working on my 1967 250 and I am going to redo the wiring...however, the illustration in the original manual of the wiring leaves something to be desired. Is there a colored wiring diagram out there or if not, something with a wire color explanation?
Thanks,
Owen

Re: 1967 Allstate 250 wiring diagram
Ahh that is a little helpful, I guess more a schematic showing the path of the wires. My old harness is bad and so I am trying to make my own, but it seems a little circuitous (pun intended) the way the manual lays it out with no colors or any sort of labeling at all.
Re: 1967 Allstate 250 wiring diagram
Which manual are you using? Maybe I have a different one, than yours. I can cross-check if we're working off different schematics (if I was closer to my manuals at the moment, I'd check to see if I have a schematic with wire colors; will do that, in a while). I was going a little nuts trying to reattach the wires on my '58 175 Standard - nothing made sense...until I found out that the Standard has some differences vs. the Deluxe. Anyways - let me know.

The wiring diagram in my manual has all the colors listed next to the wires.

Same here. These manuals were produced in a time where colour printing costs would have been prohibitive. That was my business ...

Re: 1967 Allstate 250 wiring diagram
Thanks all!
Now that I have colors worked out, I may make a custom harness or, will the harness from motor west for the 175 roughly work for my 250?

Motorwest has them for the 250. I would make my own there isn't anything special bout the harness. Just need some wire and a soldering iron. I've done 2 now.

And FYI, but Lowes carries identical plastic fuse blocks for $12...well, they're white, but same shape and size. Just cut off however many you need.
