I'll guess that, seeing as these were mail-order bikes, the people registering them didn't know the difference between Model # and VIN #.

I'd pull the exhaust pipes and check that the ports are clear.
It could also be that the mufflers/baffles need cleaning.

I did manage to have a pair each of 3-12 K38 & K57 M&S tires shipped in from Heidenau (not much available in that size in Canada).

Maybe a source to get one? Starbucks stir stick is about the right length. Drain the oil down to screen level. Measure & pour in X* amount. Notch the side of the stick. Repeat until topped up. *We're metric here so I measured 100cc ... . Note the oil level when I hit reserve and add 10 liters fuel....
