Re: Clutch issues 65 Allstate 250
Could be a stretched clutch cable...even adjusted all the way out it might be stretched from years of pulling, enough so that even with the clutch in, it's still a bit long, and therefore can't pull it out all the way...just a thought...

Re: gasoline
My closest gas station with 'regular' gas is about 15 miles away...time to get a 5-gallon gas can and take a trip, I would think...but don't forget, you've got to add oil to it, too - do you have a Ratio-Rite...? $8... https://www.amazon.com/Ratio-Rite-Perfect-Gas-Mixture/dp/B007S1B59Y?source=ps-sl-...

DS60 For Sale
I have a Puch DS60 scooter I'm thinking about selling; a pretty rare scoot, it DOES need some stuff - tires, a rear wheel, cables, muffler, the rear light nacelle needs to be attached, possibly some other stuff...but the engine is clear(it rotates) and I've painted it a real close match to the origi...

You should be able to see it if you shine a light down there...or stick a magnetic pick-up tool in there, one of the skinny ones from, like, Advance Auto...

Brake Shoes, Anyone...?
I desperately need to find some rear brake pads for my '68 SGS 250; what is anybody else using? If nothing else, what size are the front and rear drums? Anyone...?

Flickr is what I use; you just upload the pics you want from your computer to the Flickr site, open the pic you want, click on the little curved arrow icon in the lower right('Share', I think it is), then simply Copy & paste the BBC code and dimension size you want into the body of the message you'r...

Left Muffler Is Just Warm - Timing, Maybe...?
Well, I woke up the 250SGS this afternoon, and I have a bit of a stutter in 2nd and 3rd - I think that's a dirty carb - (wasn't doing it this past fall, and it Has been sitting for a few months) but what I'm puzzling over is the mufflers - - the right one is too hot to touch after riding a few miles...
